Basil Salt


Ingredients

1 1/2 cups fresh basil leaves

2 cups Kosher salt






Directions

Rough chop the leaves in food processor.


Add Kosher salt and pulse til basil is the size of the salt.


Spread over parchment lined baking sheet, and place in preheated 170° oven.


Bake for 30 minutes to dry out the basil. Break apart any lumps. Let cool and store in jar.


Description

This makes a delightful seasoning for vegetables and whatever.


Notes

I made it with both green and red basil. The smell as it dried in the oven was so nice.
