Coffee Royal



Ingredients 2 1/2 quarts eggnog, chilled 1 1/4 quarts vanilla ice cream, softened 2 1/2 tablespoons instant coffee Rum, to taste 1 1/4 cups heavy cream, whipped Nutmeg





Instructions Combine eggnog, ice cream, instant coffee powder and rum. Blend thoroughly. Pour into a chilled punchbowl and top with whipped cream sprinkled with nutmeg.


Notes This is incredibly rich and wonderful. Can usually only be made at holiday time because of availability of egg nog. The recipe makes a large quantity. I serve it in a punch bowl and try not to drink the whole thing myself.
