Ingredients 1 cup butter 1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening 3 cups sugar 5 eggs 3 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup milk 2 teaspoons vanilla 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips 1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
Instructions Cream butter, shortening and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour, baking powder, cocoa, salt, milk and vanilla; mix until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into a greased and floured bundt pan or angel food cake pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar or frost with chocolate frosting, if desired.
