Six Layer Cookies



Ingredients 1/4 cup butter or margarine 1 cup graham cracker crumbs 1 cup coconut, shredded 1 12 oz pkg chocolate chips 1 14 oz can condensed milk, sweetened 1 cup walnuts, chopped


Instructions Place butter in 9x9x2 pan and melt over low heat. Remove from heat and add a layer each of crumbs, coconut and chips Do not stir. Leave in layers. Pour condensed milk evenly over all and top with nuts. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.


Description There have been many versions of this, but I think this one, the original, is the best.


Notes A cup of M&Ms can be substituted for the chocolate chips.
